Parks in San Francisco
Among the various things to see in San Francisco you will also find several parks and public gardens, some of them of considerable size, for example, the Presidio, a historic area abutting the Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park, which surpasses in size even New York’s famous Central Park, or other places in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, such as Lands End with its scenic trails overlooking the ocean. But there are many other green spaces that deserve to be visited and explored in depth.
Sometimes even small parks or public residential gardens provide remarkable views, such as Alamo Square Park, where you can admire the picturesque Painted Ladies and the city skyline; Mission Dolores Park, which offers a clear view of downtown San Francisco from the Missouri neighborhood; or Grandview Park, another park with splendid views that is not well known to tourists because it is farther out. There are also zoos, Japanese gardens, greenhouses, lakes, small waterfalls, and even a reserve devoted entirely to bison. Are you interested in visiting the parks?
