Rumor has it that because it is so big, Los Angeles is a difficult city to visit and that it has little to offer tourists compared to other American cities that have many more attractions and places to visit.

But this information is clearly wrong, because, in addition to offering a truly impressive variety of cityscapes and natural landscapes, Los Angeles is a monumental capital of entertainment. From Hollywood to Disneyland, from whale watching to Madame Tussauds, there is a variety of attractions for everyone. Even attraction passes to visit Los Angeles are just as good of a deal as passes of any other city. So let’s find out which passes are the best to save money!

Please note: What is included in the passes may vary over time (e.g. number and type of attractions and the amount of the discount). Therefore, we invite you to go to the official website, indicated in the article, to check for updates.

Go Los Angeles Card – All Inclusive

Los Angeles Pass GoCity All InclusiveThe “Go Los Angeles Card – All Inclusive” is designed specifically for those who want a wide range of choices when visiting Los Angeles. The Go Los Angeles Card will allow you access to 35 attractions (with a very important bonus attraction, which we will explain in a moment) of Los Angeles, including museums, amusement parks, mini-cruises, and much more, and give you benefits such as skipping lines. Choose according to your needs and based on the length of your stay in the city. You can buy the card valid for 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, or 7 days.

For example, if you buy the Go Los Angeles Card that is valid for 1 day, and you are able to perfectly manage your time as you visit the different attractions, you can choose as many attractions as you want, as long as you have energy, or as long as you haven’t spent everything. But be careful! Don’t forget that the pass is valid from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm!

But that’s not all: this pass has an additional convenience. Yes, because whatever the duration of your pass may be, you can use it for two weeks from the day of activation. In other words, the days of use are not necessarily consecutive. If you bought the Go Los Angeles Card valid for 3 days, and you activate it on Sunday (the activation coincides with the first use), it will be valid for another 2 days within a two-week period.

Southern California CityPASS

Southern California City PassWe would also like to mention this pass which, for many of you, could prove to be a…winning card! The Southern California CityPASS is not strictly limited to Los Angeles, but it will come in handy if you are planning an extended trip to California. With this card – a “California pass” of fun activities – you can spend an unforgettable vacation in the 3 most important and famous theme parks of Southern California: 2 of these parks are located in Los Angeles, so the pass is still compatible with the Go Los Angeles Card. In fact, it includes different and no less famous attractions.

The card expires two weeks from the activation date. During the 2-week time period, you can enjoy:

The price depends on the number and type of tickets for the individual parks you wish to purchase, and obviously the more choices you make, the greater the savings.

Build Your Own Los Angeles Pass

Update: This pass is no more available

Build Your Own Los Angeles PassRecently, an additional pass has been added to the Go Los Angeles Card options: the Build Your Own Los Angeles Pass, which will allow you to create a tailor-made pass, so that you can select only the attractions you really plan to visit.

There are 42 attractions to choose from including Universal Studios, Warner Bros. Studio, Legoland California, OUE Skyspace (you can find the complete list on the official website).

The pass is valid for 30 days from the date of its first use and, if you choose at least two attractions, it will guarantee you a 20% discount (however, if you choose Universal Studios, the discount will be reduced to only 10%). So is this a good choice? In my opinion, it is only worth it if you have a few days and a clear idea about what you want to do.

You can buy the pass on the official website.

Hollywood Explorer Pass

Update: This pass is currently not available

hollywood express passWe saved this pass for last, because, in our opinion, it is suitable only for tourists who will mainly visit the Hollywood area…not to mention all the other attractions in Los Angeles.

By purchasing this pass, you can access Madame Tussauds Hollywood and the Guinness World Records Museum, and add two out of these four attractions:

  • Either the TCL Chinese Theatre or the Hollywood Behind-the-Scenes Tour offered by Red Line Tours;
  • Either the Starline Movie Stars’ Home Tours or the CitySightseeing Hop-On Hop-Off City Tour.

You can buy this pass on the official website.
