As controversial as Las Vegas may be, you can’t say that it is a city where you can’t find something to do. On the contrary, if you get to know the city (and in particular of the Strip) you will discover that it is practically impossible to be bored during your stay here.
We’ve already written several articles about Las Vegas, in which we described the most fabulous Las Vegas themed hotels to visit and the luxury hotels on the Strip to choose for an overnight stay or just to admire. We’ve also published an article about the free attractions in Las Vegas, and you’ll need at least a full day to get through them. However, if you are planning to invest more time in the city, then I suggest you read this new article, where I want to point out some cool things to do in Las Vegas to experience the folly of Sin City.
I will point to some of the most interesting attractions of the Las Vegas Strip and give you some tips on where to buy discounted tickets. I hope you enjoy this article!

Las Vegas Strip: Cool Things to Do Once in a Lifetime!
These are 7 amazing experiences that you will never forget. Many of them will allow you to see Las Vegas from an unusual perspective, while others will give you the chance to take unexpected trips in time… and space. So, if you’re looking for advice on what to do in Las Vegas at night, be prepared to take notes. Before leaving, though, I suggest you read our article on how to get around Las Vegas (on the Strip and in downtown Las Vegas) and read carefully the information about the Las Vegas Monorail.
High Roller Las Vegas: Take a ride on the highest Ferris wheel in the world
That’s right, at the moment this article was written (fall 2019), this city in the Mojave Desert holds the record for the highest Ferris wheel in the world! The High Roller opened in 2014 and is located in the mall of The LINQ. A complete ride on the High Roller lasts about 30 minutes. All you have to do is sit in one of the 28 cabins available and enjoy the 360° view from 550 ft above the ground and see the city illuminated by the thousands of lights of the extravagant hotels and monuments on the Las Vegas Strip.
By clicking on the link below, you will find discounted tickets for the Ferris wheel. Pay attention to the various options available. You can choose to ride the High Roller in the day or at night, and you can integrate your ticket with other perks, such as a cocktail on the High Roller or combined access to the Eiffel Tower.

Eiffel Tower Las Vegas: See the Strip from the viewing platform
The High Roller may be the highest Ferris wheel in the world, but it’s not the only vantage point to view Las Vegas from above. One of the most unusual platforms is certainly the Eiffel Tower of the Paris Las Vegas, a sort of bizarre French “region” in Nevada that includes, among other things, a reproduction of the Arc de Triomphe. The American Eiffel Tower is not as tall as the original, but still stands 140 ft above the Las Vegas Strip and offers a remarkable view to those who reach the platform on the 46th floor by elevator.
Also in this case, by purchasing the entrance tickets at the link below, you can choose whether to visit it by day or by night and you can save a few dollars instead of paying the full price if you were to buy the ticket in person. Moreover, if you are interested in climbing both the Eiffel Tower and the High Roller, you can buy the tickets for both attractions at once.
Stratosphere Tower: Nevada’s tallest observation tower
Finally, here is another way to see Las Vegas that makes you feel like you are literally in the clouds. I am talking about the Stratosphere Tower! The height of this tower located on the north side of the Las Vegas Strip is an impressive 1,148 ft, making it the tallest observation tower in Nevada. But as you may have realized by now, there are no ordinary experiences in Las Vegas. Did you really think that you would just be able to climb to the top of the tower to look at the view? You can, but it doesn’t end there. At the top of the Stratosphere, there is a kind of amusement park where you can have incredibly adrenaline-fuelled experiences. Here are the rides:
- X-Scream: a catapult that will project you 26 ft beyond the edge of the tower to let you dangle in the air;
- Insanity: a mechanical arm that will rotate you 65 ft beyond the edge of the tower, keeping you suspended almost 984 ft above the Strip;
- Big Shot: there is a 160 ft drop that allows you to defy the force of gravity while remaining “comfortably” seated;
- Skyjump: this is insane! Are you ready to jump off the 108-story tower… with just a harness?
At the link below you can find the various types of tickets to access the tower with all the optional rides just mentioned.

Las Vegas Strip Helicopter Tour: Fly Over the City!
Okay, getting on a Ferris wheel, a fake Eiffel Tower or an observation platform at 1,148 ft above the ground are all very exciting experiences, but if we’re talking about seeing the city from above, Las Vegas Strip Helicopter Tour is the best option! The flight takes about 10-15 minutes, but it’s enough to see the street in both directions. Some of the attractions you can see are the New York-New York, the Bellagio with its superb fountains, the aforementioned Eiffel Tower, the bell tower of St. Mark’s Basilica at the Venetian Hotel, the pyramid of the Luxor, the reconstruction of Ancient Rome at Caesars Palace, the Stratosphere with its observation tower, and downtown Las Vegas.
Below you will find two links that may interest you. One of them also includes transportation to and from the hotel by limousine, for an experience in total luxury!

Shark Reef Aquarium Las Vegas: Walking among sharks… in Nevada
Las Vegas holds another record! Inside the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, there is one of the largest tanks in the U.S., where you can see more than 30 sharks. Thanks to 2 underwater tunnels, you can literally walk among the sharks. The entrance to the Shark Reef Aquarium allows you to see not only 15 species of sharks (there are about a hundred of them), but also 2,000 animals of fish and reptiles, including sawfish, piranhas, pufferfish, crocodiles, pythons, monitor lizards, etc..
Gondola Ride on the Grand Canal of… Las Vegas
Could Las Vegas resist the charms of Venice? Of course not! The Venetian offers the opportunity for anyone to take a ride in a classic Venetian gondola in the Grand Canal faithfully recreated for a romantic “Italian” experience in the Nevada desert. Sure, it may seem strange, but that’s the way Las Vegas is! At the link below, you can find an interesting package that includes both a gondola ride, admission to Madame Tussauds, and a lunch or dinner at Buddy V’s (Trio package). The total savings range from 16% to 25% depending on the type of option you choose (Duo or Trio).

Cirque du Soleil Las Vegas: A mesmerizing performance
“O”, “Kà ”, The Beatles LOVE, Mystère, and Zumanity are just some of the shows that have made Cirque du Soleil famous all over the world. Well, the hotels on the Las Vegas Strip are the perfect place to see at least one of these shows that display great artistic spirit, acrobatic virtuosity, special effects, and great attention to detail in the creation of the scenery. I’ve written an article about the shows and I recommend you read it. You’ll find tips on where to buy tickets and other information about the shows.
